As work continues on the wall repair at Marine Lake, these big rocks lay in the sand waiting to be put back in place as tide breaks.

Here’s a photo of two hardy souls in their kayaks in the River Dee. I took this photo on 5th November 2006 from the path that circle Marine Lake. I recall that it was rather on the chilly side so I bet the river was freezing!

Ashton Park has this large duck pond with lots of well fed ducks. Be a responsible feeder and follow the advice on the signs. Don’t forget to take away your empty bread bags too.

Here’s St Bridgets Church taken back in January of this year. I think I’m right in saying it’s the only church in the area that has church bells. I’m certainly right in saying that it’s the only church that I’ve got married in !

Well, it took a couple of days but now Marine Lake has been emptied and the work on the wall repairs has commenced. I ran past the lake on Monday (the path is now closed of course) and I have to say that there was a bit of a pong! I could see a few [...]

They’ve been draining Marine Lake this week so that repairs to the retaining wall can be undertaken. They started to drain the lake on Sunday afternoon and I took this photo about 20 hours later on early Monday afternoon.
