Friday Photo: White Lion Refurbishment

Here’s the White Lion pub at the bottom of Grange Hill in around 1967-68. As you can see, the place was having a bit of a Changing Rooms makeover! I take it this place has always just been a pub? If you know any interesting facts about the White Lion then please do leave a comment.

Many thanks to Robin Jeffries for another great photos of 60′s life in West Kirby.

I had a school pal who lived in or around that building, by the name of Paul Harris – we went through St.Bridget’s and the Parade School together from about 1953 – 1963.
